Conditions and Policies of Your Financial Aid Award

  1. Your total financial aid will not exceed the approved budget.  Not that the approved budget costs include tuition, fees, room and board and estimated costs for books, insurance, transportation, and personal expenses.
  2. Unless otherwise noted, your award is based upon full-time enrollment each semester, continuing eligibility and the availability of funds.
  3. Your financial aid award is contingent upon your continued satisfactory academic progress as defined in the college catalog listed under Academic Standards.
  4. Financial aid recipients must maintain the minimum cumulative GPA (grade point average) listed on the following chart.  Failure to meet these requirements will result in financial aid probation or cancellation.

  5. Students enrolled less than full-time (below 12 semester hours) will be evaluated on a pro-rated basis of hours completed each enrollment period using the same minimum standards required for full-time enrollment.
  6. Any change in your enrollment, financial, residency, or marital status should be reported to the Financial Aid Office immediately.  The Financial Aid Office reserves the right and is required to review and cancel an award due to changes in your financial or academic program.
  7. Any scholarships from outside sources (churches, civic organizations, employers, etc) should be reported to the Financial Aid Office immediately.  Note that outside scholarships in addition to other financial aid cannot exceed the cost of tuition and fees.  Refer to any guidelines that accompany your scholarship.
  8. Students receiving loans (Subsidized or Unsubsidized Stafford) must attend an entrance and exit counseling conference.  Contact the Financial Aid Office for details.
  9. Students selected for the verification process are required to submit a copy of his/her federal tax information and W-2 forms.  If you are a dependent student, your parent(s) are required to submit the same information.
  10. All information submitted is confidential and becomes property of NC Wesleyan College and will not be returned.
  11. The financial aid award letter will be void immediately if any incorrect information is revealed and could result in a $20,000 fine, imprisonment up to 5 years, or both.
