During his baseball career, Nick played in two consecutive NCAA World Series games in 1998 and 1999. He and his fellow Battling Bishops went on to win two conference titles together. Due to his athletic accomplishments, he was selected as a two-time All-Conference team member and an All-South Region team member.

After graduation, Nick played professional baseball in the Italian Baseball League (IBL) for the "Cus Parma Dodgers.” He also spent time playing for the Italian National Team. After retiring from baseball, Nick moved to New York City, where he worked on Wall Street for over ten years.
