Alumni Spotlight:
Will Beasley ’14 & Meredith Smith ’13 (soon to be Beasley)

When Meredith was asked what she loved about NC Wesleyan she said, “the small classroom sizes, where I could build a good relationship with my professors. I love the athletic community and how supportive each team is for one another. I also love the fact that I found my husband at Wesleyan!"

Meredith from Mebane, NC graduated in 2013 with her Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. She was a member of the NCWC Volleyball team where she earned high honors such as USA South All-Academic Team, four-time USA South All-Conference Team, and she became second in career kills at NCWC with 1,337 kills. During her time at Wesleyan, she was also a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). After graduating, Meredith worked as the volleyball assistant coach at Greensboro College, where she continued to be around the game she loves. Currently, Meredith lives in Mebane, NC where she is excelling at Mebane's First Savings and Loan Bank.

Joining the Bishop Family from Rosewood, NC, Will Beasley “Beas” graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science. While attending Wesleyan, Will was a member of the football team, where he and his fellow Bishops won the 2010 USA South Conference Championship. He also played four years of Varsity Baseball where he became the #1 pitcher in the pitching rotation his senior year. He was also named USA South All-Academic Team, USA South All-Conference Team, and USA South Pitcher of the Week. He also excelled in the classroom as a member of the President's Honor's List. After graduating Will attended the University of West Florida (UWF), where he earned his Master's Degree in Exercise Science and Strength and Conditioning. Will recently moved back to the great state of North Carolina. When asked why he chose NCWC he said, " I liked the small class environment and the community feel of the campus."

This adorable NCWC couple is getting MARRIED tomorrow, November 18th! The Bishop Family is so proud and excited to celebrate this momentous occasion with our two Battling Bishops! Congratulations, Will and Meredith!!! #NCWCsweethearts #NCWCalumni
