Friday Feature- Jason Edwards

Where are you from? Where did you graduate from?

I am from Scotland Neck, NC.  It is a very unique town as it is the only town in NC where people park in the middle of the street and there are no traffic lights.

I graduated from North Carolina Wesleyan College.

How long have you worked for NCWC?

Since March 2013

Do you consider yourself and introvert or an extrovert?

I am an Introvert, however I do enjoy meeting new people and learning about their background and how they have come to be where they are.

Vacation in Hawaii or Alaska? Why?

Alaska, the landscape is breathtaking and has an abundance of wildlife and fish.  The Northern Lights are pretty cool too.

What is your spirit animal?

I wasn’t sure how to answer this so I took an online Spirit Animal quiz and it identified me as a Wolf.

Favorite cold weather drink?

Tea, doesn’t matter if the weather is cold or warm out, I love it.

What is your favorite thing about Wesleyan?

The people make Wesleyan!  We are one big family.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

It used to be people who didn’t use blinkers while turning, but it seems I have adopted that habit now so I will go with people who don’t have their money ready to pay when in the check-out line.

Favorite part about the NCWC campus?

Several parts come to mind, the serpentine brick wall, performances at the Dunn Center for the Performing Arts, and the combination of open fields and mature trees.

What do love most about your current position?

The opportunity to impart wisdom, knowledge, and experience with students surrounding financial decisions.

Tell us one odd or interesting fact about you.

In May 2016 I was blessed to go on an offshore fishing trip and caught a Pigfish that has been certified as a NC State record and IGFA World record!
