Adjunct Faculty Positions (Rocky Mount Day Program)


The University currently has the following openings for Adjunct Faculty positions.

Physics

North Carolina Wesleyan University seeks an adjunct instructor to teach Physics in the traditional seated day program for Spring 2022. Adjunct faculty instructors must have a minimum qualification of a Masters Degree with 18 semester hours of graduate work in the area of physics; a PhD in the subject field is highly desirable. The primary role of the adjunct faculty instructor is to teach general physics I and II with laboratories, develop student centric learning environment while encouraging lifelong learning. The adjunct faculty instructor is also expected to maintain grade and attendance records weekly, set clear learning goals and keep office hours.

Adjunct courses taught through the Rocky Mount Day program are offered during daytime hours in the traditional semester format. Instructors interested in applying should submit an Adjunct Faculty Application, copies of transcripts, and an updated Resume’/CV directly to the Office of the Provost for consideration.

Adjunct faculty instructors must have a minimum qualification of a Master’s Degree with 18 semester hours of graduate work in the subject area they are interested in teaching to be considered; a PhD in the subject field is highly desirable.

North Carolina Wesleyan University expects to have future teaching needs for adjunct faculty in the following areas of study:

  • Teacher Education-Math
  • Middle Grades Education-Math
