What is your favorite aspect of working at Wesleyan?
I enjoy working at NC Wesleyan because the college has always been a part of my life! My mother graduated from here and often brought me to campus as a child. I attended Wesleyan and graduated in 2013. Now, my younger sister is continuing the bishop tradition! I appreciate Wesleyan for the role it has played in my family’s life. I know the best is yet to come for our students and our institution and I’m glad that I get to be a part of it!

There is purpose at Wesleyan! Whether you are a student, staff or faculty member, the campus community and environment provides a platform for personal growth and opportunity to live your purpose. I enjoy serving and assisting our students with the transition to college and into the Bishop family.

What is your favorite aspect of working at Wesleyan?
Our students make working at NC Wesleyan a rewarding experience. Advisors meet students who are at the beginning of their journey, we see them grow and accomplish their educational goals. If they are able to use something  we have taught, resources we have shared, or just know that we are here for them, then I believe we have made a difference.  The best part is watching them receive their diploma, knowing they have faced challenges, worked hard, and reached their goal.  I always look forward to hearing about their successes after they graduate.

What is your favorite aspect of working at Wesleyan?
I enjoy working at Wesleyan because of the history I have here. I came here as a student in 2006 and graduated in 2010. During my time, I was a student ambassador and was the president of one of our campus ministries. I also met my wife while attending and we got married two weeks after she graduated. Now as an employee, I get to witness new students building their own Wesleyan history.

What is your favorite aspect of working at Wesleyan?
My favorite aspect of working at Wesleyan is being able to have the opportunity to guide, motivate, support and make an impact in the success of our students’ as they reach their educational goals. As a first-generation college graduate, I understand the obstacles that our students may encounter and it is my hope that my testimony will be an encouragement to the students.
