The Tar River Orchestra kicks off the 2022-23 Concert Season with Antonín Dvořák’s beloved Symphony No. 9, the New World Symphony, featuring the nostalgic melody that would later become the song Going Home. Also on the program will be our Young Artist concerto winner, flautist Anna Frazer; and an overture by one of Ukraine’s most popular composers, Mykola Lysenko.

Program: Taras Bulba Overture by Mykola Lysenko; Concerto in D for Flute by Otar Gordeli; Symphony No. 9 (“From the New World”) by Antonin Dvořák.
