ROCKY MOUNT, NORTH CAROLINA – Phi Theta Kappa has named North Carolina Wesleyan College to its 2018 Transfer Honor Roll. The honor roll identifies top four-year colleges and universities that are creating dynamic pathways to support transfer students. This is the college’s second consecutive year to receive such acknowledgement.

Open to all regionally accredited baccalaureate degree-granting institutions, Phi Theta Kappa’s Transfer Honor Roll recognizes excellence and success in community college transfer pathway development. Wesleyan is one of two NC schools, and the only private college, to earn this top distinction. Appalachian State was also recognized.

“Being part of the Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Honor Roll is a great privilege,” said Wesleyan President Dr. Dewey Clark. “Transfer students make up an important growing sector of our student population. Our admissions team works closely with transfer students to develop a plan that is customizable to their daily needs and provides them an affordable way to complete their bachelor’s degree.”

Phi Theta Kappa President and CEO Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner said the recognition program reflects the growing importance of recognizing and responding to the needs of community college transfers and promoting and sharing best practices for transfer success.

Transfer Honor Roll colleges will be recognized at PTK Catalyst 2018, Phi Theta Kappa’s annual convention, in Kansas City, Missouri, April 19-21, 2018. Learn more about North Carolina Wesleyan College Transfer Program at and visit to see the full list of colleges who received this recognition.
